Social Skills reveal majestic synthpop number “It’s Invisible”
Possessing a shared love for something can form the best basis for creativity. Passion for, and understanding of, the necessary elements combine to catalyse the end result; enter Social Skills.
Born from a mutual affection for antiqued studio equipment and vintage synths, the North London trio - Chopper on keyboard, Moshik on drums and Scuta on guitar and vocals - pull inspiration and ultimately deliver brilliant kaleidoscopic '70s synthpop on this first outing.
Twinkling guitar accompanies an effortless, gliding vocal to open the track before it finds its feet in the pulsating synth-driven action, both dreamlike and gently haunting in equal measure bringing to mind the likes of the brilliant, but sadly no-more Post War Years with its intelligent pop leanings.
It’s a wonderfully twitching cut that will effortlessly find its way between the ears. Stream below; Social Skills’ song-making talent is entirely visible.
