So Below enlists The Naked and Famous to co-produce "Hard"
Under the name So Below, New Zealander Madeline North has already released several helpings of her darkly ominous electropop.
New track “Hard” builds on her previous EP - distinctive, moody pop with a gorgeous multi-tracked vocal. With fellow Kiwis Aaron Short (of The Naked and Famous) and Leroy Clampitt on production duties, it’s clear North means business.
“”Hard" is about those uncomfortable moments when you're at odds with the people closest to you,” North explains. “Leroy [Clampitt] and I wrote the track, and then had Aaron [Short] come in and mess around with some of the sounds ’til we found a good medium: an awesome pop jam with the production still on the aggressive side. I'm really happy with how it turned out and its the perfect transition track from my self-titled EP that was released earlier this year.”
