“Rechargeable” sees Snapped Ankles stepping out of their forest home and taking on a surreal gentrified guise to infiltrate the city.
The second single to be released from the fast rising fauna-influenced outfit's forthcoming second album, Stunning Luxury, Snapped Ankles' “Rechargeable” melds mangled synth textures with the quartet’s signature entrancing, insistent rhythms.
Donned in a sharp suit and ready to face the city to form a resistance against those who push gentrification, vocalist Paddy Austin reiterates decrees about the monotony of the rat-race, converted factories and commuters.
Catch Snapped Ankles on tour in February and March, including at Oslo Hackney on 28 February. Stunning Luxury is released through The Leaf Label on 1 March and is available to pre-order now. Find Snapped Ankles on Facebook.
