With her long-time-coming new EP due out next month, Denmark's Skylar Fri is back with a new single.
"Better" is a gleaming, slo-mo electronic pop dream about taking the long road to happiness.
Skylar Fri's voice echoes across a track filled with a gentle hum of synth, soft percussion and the languid slide of guitar. "Can't change the past but I wonder if we can repair..." sings Fri at one point, looking for the positives in a shitty situation. There's a hazy hopefulness to "Better", signalling that the singer knows she's eventually going to make it through somehow.
"Better" is taken from the Lyng Land EP, out 19 May.
