After a brief hiatus, Scandinavian sensation Skott returns with a stripped-back version of "Wolf" alongside a brand new video to accompany the announcement of new EP Chapter 1 (Acoustic).
“I still can’t believe this song’s journey," Skott says about "Wolf." "I wrote it about the lonely sound of heartbreak, and then all of a sudden Katy Perry’s tweeting me about it. I wanted to make a stripped down version where the lyrics have even more room to do their thing, in a calmer landscape than the more orchestral-ish original. This has always been my favorite song to sing live.”Growing up in the tiny Swedish village of Vikarbyn, to garnering support from pop behemoths Katy Perry, Lorde and MØ for her stellar early single "Porcelain", Skott’s journey has been one of explosive growth. Now, following on from 2020’s debut album Always Live For Always, she's made the decision to release five stand-out tracks in acoustic form on the Chapter 1 (Acoustic) EP.
An artist who blends an intimate songwriting style with a rich, orchestral sound, her true talent lies in her ability to create maximum tension in a short space of time, teamed up with an exquisite vocal performance. This acoustic version of "Wolf" is no different, simultaneously sparse yet intense. While the urgent essence of the original remains, this acoustic release offers a deeper dive into the harmonic world of Skott.
