Sivu, the quirky London-based singer with a voice of manuka honey and a penchant for singing in MRI scanners has teamed up with rising starlet Marika Hackman for a dark, ambient duet that’s currently available for free download.
“I Hold” is a treat which boasts touches of electronica, folk and even James Blake-esque future-garage. The soon-to-be tourmates have both had their talents honed by Charlie Andrew, the producer behind Alt-J’s “An Awesome Wave”, and perhaps they’ll be the next artists to win widespread acclaim with their mix of ethereal vocals and probing melodies.
