Simian Ghost will have you up on your feet with funk-laced tune "Stop Moving"
Sweden's Simian Ghost are sharing their new single "Stop Moving" - and it's a funk-propelled banger that's impossible to stay still to.
Thomas Hedlund of Phoenix has produced the slick jam, which thrives off the interplay between stuttery guitars and gloopy bass. It's an utterly spellbinding dose of hyped-up pop with Daft Punkisms drizzled over the top and gigantic beats forcing toes to tap, heads to nod, and arms to flail wildly.
"'Stop Moving' is a straight up disco track," says the band's Sebastian Arnström. "We have done some stuff like that before, and we really liked it, especially playing it live. We wrote it last summer, when the world was still somewhat comprehensible. Now, as it continues to spiral out of control, we’re happy to offer a brief moment of musical respite from the chaos. It’s a song about letting go of your insecurities and falling into the arms of a well meaning stranger. It’s about giving yourself to the waves, trusting that they will carry you to a good place. We all need that sometimes."
"Stop Moving" is the second track from their upcoming eponymous album.
