Shoffy does more than go through the “Motions” on blues-y new single
Playing with layers of choppy samples and laid back vocals, Shoffy’s new single “Motions” sees the LA singer diversifying his sound, following the success of dance-heavy previous releases.
Honing his songwriting and producing talents since the age of 14, Shoffy began releasing under his current moniker just last year. On “Motions”, he sang, produced, and played guitar, before also mixing and mastering the track. The addition of blues guitar to his existing electronic sound adds texture and lightness to the summer-ready single, which Shoffy no doubt hopes will follow in the footsteps of previous single “Take My Body Higher”; currently approaching 50 million streams on Spotify alone.
“Stoked to get this one out for the summer,” Shoffy states of the new release. “I think [‘Motions’] has a message that a lot of people can relate to.”
