Shit Girlfriend's debut single "Mummy's Boy" is an attitude-rich belter
Laura-Mary Carter (Blood Red Shoes) and Natalie Chahal (aka Natalie Bang Bang) have shared their debut single as Shit Girlfriend.
Combining the driving distortion of Blood Red Shoes with Natalie Bang Bang's affinity for instantly unforgettable pop hooks, "Mummy's Boy" introduces Shit Girlfriend as a force not to be reckoned with. Deliciously scuzzed up, contagiously uptempo, and with no shortage of attitude, the track is equal parts ferocity and freewheeling glee.
"She made you this way, and now I have to live with it every single day," the pair sing, revelling in the freedom of voicing their contempt. As playful as it is powerful, "Mummy's Boy" is a whirlwind introduction to a band playing by no one's rules but their own. Songs like this are what the repeat button was invented for. Shit Girlfriend perform at PNKSLM's fourth birthday bash alongside Sudakistan, Hater, Luxury Death, HOLY, and Gestures at a secret location in Stockholm on 5 May.
