SEØUEL streams his Iceland-inspired EP Reykjavik in full
London-based producer SEØUEL is streaming his second EP Reykjavik in full on Best Fit ahead of its release this Friday.
SEØUEL blurs ambient techno with darkwave monstrosities - it's not likely you'll find a DJ spin these sorts of sounds while you're out on the town, but SEØUEL's effortless merging of electronic worlds creates something admirably harrowing.
In our review, we noted the geographical nods in SEØUEL's music:
"Having recently spend time in the Czech Republic’s capital, last year’s Prague EP saw SEØUEL sonically stalk the city’s narrow streets with claustrophobic, nocturnal beats and sharp injections of loops. But if Prague was a thematic representation of its enclosed alleyways and pseudo-religious sensibilities, his latest Reykjavik EP sees the producer roam out into more expansive territory. It seems that the character of the cities SEØUEL has visited during his time on the road have had a profound effect on his output."
The Reykjavik EP is out 24 July via Disorder.
