Listen: Sasha Siem - "See Through" [Premiere]
Following the release of “Proof”, Anglo-Norwegian artist Sasha Siem is back with the orchestral punch of “See Through”.
Opening with a thunderstorm of off-kilter classical sounds, collapsing strings and impatient beats, “See Through” soon moves to whispers and trinket box crackles, hugely playful as it with textures and dynamics. It’s not a background track, nor a track to drift off to, but demands every single bit of your bolt-upright attention. Ms Siem certainly has an experimental, no-bounds head on her shoulders, and we’re fascinated to hear more.
Sasha Siem headlines London’s Village Underground on 10 June, joined on stage by her producer, Valgeir Sigurðsson (Sigur Rós, Björk, Bonnie Prince Billy, Feist).
