Sam Setton is in love with New York on synth-led new single "My City"
Sam Setton releases third single "My City", a pulsating synth-led pop track about his love affair with his hometown, New York City.
There's plenty of songs written about hometowns, but a lot of them end up as tearjerker ballads - Adele's "Hometown Glory" is a prime example. Setton explores his love and connection to his hometown through the upbeat pop of "My City".
"I hope anyone with a sense of pride about where they are from, or currently reside, can relate to this," Setton says.
"My City" is a journey, as Setton continues to explain: "I take the listener along with me on a subway ride home, in which I'm reflecting on my time spent in NYC, and combat thoughts of leaving."
Setton has come a long way from his early days, writing songs to impress an ex-girlfriend. With his debut EP Renegade on the way expect more moody synth-pop from this New Yorker soon.
