Vienna’s Rydell creates impassioned midnight pop on her latest release “Pastime”
Combining her lustrous vocals with satin smooth production, Austria-based Rydell (Kimberly Rydell) spins a narrative of late-night lust on “Pastime”.
A staple of romantic cinema, locking eyes across a crowded room signifies an emotional connection. Centered around this classic romantic encounter, “Pastime” is a sensual, nocturnal groove that bristles with anticipation. Filled with rumbling guitar melodies and explosive percussion, lustful thoughts spiral through her mind as the hours trickle by.
“It’s that moment you're at a bar and you see someone across the room,” says Rydell. “Eye contact. You break eye contact and go back to your current small talk, but your peripheral senses focus all their attention on the person across the room… and all you can think of is: Just go for it!”
