With a rich, commanding vocal, “Record On” is the new instalment in RYAL’s intriguing pop catalogue.
The new single is the first to be taken from the New York-based singer’s upcoming debut album, due out this summer. It’s a slice of fizzy, explosive electro-pop garnished with a satisfying snap of analogue drum machines and old-school electronic production.
Additional elements flow in to surround “Record On”’s gravelly modular synths to build an atmospheric, upbeat pop jam centred on RYAL’s powerful voice. Staccato lyrics and tactfully deployed reverb make for a punchy, addictive chorus backed by dizzying swirls of electronics.
"Record On" will be out this July.
