Watch: RY X - "Howling" (Live at Union Chapel) [Premiere]
Australian musician RY X might be most celebrated on Best Fit for his work in enigmatic super-trio, The Acid, but he’s a pretty wondrous talent on his own. Today, we premiere a stark live performance of “Howling”, recorded at the Union Chapel, London in the chills of February.
Delicately paced with violin warm-ups and check 1-2s at the start, the stunning black and white photography more than sets us up for getting tangled in the beauty of “Howling”. RY X’s every breath is caught between guitar slides and skittish beats, whilst his palate clicks and fingers walk dexterously over strings. The audience is completely enraptured, as are we. Watch below.
RY X’s Berlin EP is out now via Infectious Music. For a full list of tour dates, visit here.
Film by André Pattenden and Anthony Tombling Jnr. for Cutsfilm.
