Enigmatic outfit Rude retain their cloak of mystery on haunting new track "icecold"
We know next to nothing about Rude, but new tune "icecold" has certainly caught our attention.
We don't know who they are or where they're from, but from the opening few chilling bars you can feel that ears will be pricking in Rude's direction very soon.
"icecold" opens with a somewhat chilling line as it chimes "As rocks deform beneath my feet / My head sinks deep in sweet deceit". With this, the stage is immediately set for what Rude are all about and it comes across as a statement of creative intent. The track melds together haunting and poetic lyricism with surprisingly melodic little intersections of beautiful electronic sounds before bursting into a triumphant explosion of euphoria.
It appears that Rude are able to create expansic soundscapes of meteoric strength and with this first exemplar of their sound, it would seem that they are evidently relishing in the cloak of mystery that surrounds them.
