Widely regarded as one of San Francisco’s best-kept musical secrets Rose Droll has impressed with her DIY aesthetic and dark lyricism alongside a mastery of several instruments.
Rose is a prolific songwriter and reportedly has over 1500 songs finished and ready to go with 2000 more in their beginning stages. That being said, nothing feels rushed or under-developed, another demonstration of Rose’s unique writing ability.
This is a debut of unparalleled quality and one that requires consumption in complete solitude.
Speaking about the EP Rose said "Rose: "When you look at an old photo that's matted and grainy and kind of yellowed and worn, that's how these songs sound to me. "Under This Moon" and "Girl" both sound tan/faded yellow, and the other tracks have turned out to maintain the same sort of color balance. In one way or another, these tracks have turned out to portray some sonic qualities that I've only ever found elsewhere in the physical form of an old photograph."
