Reptaliens sign with Captured Tracks and share dreamy pop single "Prequel"
Portland-based group Reptaliens have inked a new deal with Captured Tracks and shared new single "Prequel".
The band, which centres around the core duo of wife and husband Bambi and Cole Browning, won us over with the superb "Nunya" last year and return ready to conquer our senses. New cut "Prequel" is a beautifully off-kilter wisp of dream pop bliss, with fizzing melodies and Bambi Browning's gorgeously affecting vocals. It's backed with "Olive" on a new 7" single.
Reptaliens take their name from "their interests in cult mentality, transhumanism, and conspiracy theories" and draw inspiration from "Philip K. Dick and FM-2030 and music ranging from Paul McCartney and Wings to African artists Francis Bebey and Nahawa Doumbia."
