Berlin based composer Queen Alaska shares “Under My Skin”
Combining the variant syncopations of Steve Reich and the elegant vocal delivery of Elena Tonra, “Under My Skin” is a complex yet fragile offering from Queen Alaska.
Taking inspiration from minimalist, classical and techno works, composer, producer, vocalist, and audio visual artist Anneli Bentler is mixing modern production with intelligent songwriting to create intricate but accessible compositions.
New track “Under My Skin” is the first single taken from EP “Interlude of the Inner Voice I/II” which boasts imaginative sound design and deep ruminations on Bentler’s innermost wanderings. There is imperfection here as is in all things but Queen Alaska’s strong imagination and force of will propels her sometimes sedentary output into a new realm of ingenuity and guile.
