London’s Post Louis are former Cajun Dance Party man, Robbie Stern and vocalist Stephanie Davin. Tangentially linked to his old bandmates, Stern’s new project is just about to take flight as Yuck could begin winding down following the thus-far tepid response to their second LP, the first since Daniel Blumberg quit.
Debut tracks ‘Oldsmobile’ and ‘This Could Be A Bridge’ recalled the yawning alt-rock of Pavement and Pixes, while new song ‘Your Hotel’, available to download for free at Rolling Stone today, nods to the likes of Smith Westerns and Girls, all Davin’s softly whimpered lines and twinkly guitar squalls courtesy of Stern. It’s a very real, very pointed step up from the duo, as they ready their debut EP.
Post Louis’ This Could Be A Bridge EP will be released on 12 November via Inflated Records (US/Asia) and Stare Records (UK).
