PLGRMS' "Pieces" clip examines a break up through a macro lens [Premiere]
Australian/British twosome PLGRMS recently unveiled "Pieces", their storming debut single, and are now unfurling its visual accompaniment on Best Fit.
Evan Djirlic has directed the clip, which sees a relationship crumbling to the floor, shot in extreme close up with a macro lens.
The band's Australian half, Jonathan Bowden, says: “It's focused on subtle moments that two emotionally invested people share, be it for better or for worse...”
"Pieces" is a grand electro-pop statement, bursting at the seams with sleekly polished synths, crunchy beats, and entwined vocals, shimmering across octaves. It's a three-dimensional listen, with gorgeous textures and a hypnotic depth.
Flight Facilities' Jimmy Lyell has co-written/produced the cut, which is out now.
