Pip Blom unleashes her heady lo-fi pop belter "Taxi Driver"
Dutch singer/songwriter Pip Blom is airing her infectious new tune "Taxi Driver" on Best Fit.
The 20-year-old Amsterdam-based artist churns up lo-fi Courtney Barnett-isms with a gigantic dollop of catchy pop pep. It's fuzzy and dog-eared around the edges, but Blom's raw tones are warming.
"Taxi Driver" is a preview of her upcoming EP Are We There Yet? and sees Blom crank the energy to 11. It's propelled by ragged hooks and excellent guitars, with Blom showcasing her knack for a massive chorus - you'll be up on your feet and flailing your arms along to the beat in no time at all.
The Are We There Yet? EP is due to be released 28 September via Toaster.
