Bristol-based New Zealander Pelorus shares stunning single "Alive"
20-year-old multi-instrumentalist Leon Van Dijk's debut single as Pelorus tests the water as he writes openly about his move.
Trading the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand for the creative hub of Bristol, "Alive" is the first track to be taken from forthcoming debut EP Perfect Storm. The EP is a culmination of work which began in Van Dijk's family home being surrounded by instruments played by his parents, two professional jazz musicians.
Taking his stage name from a river that he and his family would often stop and swim in while still living back home in New Zealand, Van Dijk's music is expansive and submersive offering an escapist paradise in his expertly crafted instrumentals with soothing vocals to match. "Alive" is the first stepping stone into the river.
