Atmospheric pop trio PEAKES make a study of intimacy and landscape on “Space”
The track is accompanied by stunning visuals set in the beautiful expanse of the Lake District.
It's safe to say the group stick out like a sore thumb in Leeds’ guitar dominated musical scene.
PEAKES seem more akin to Lancashire acts like Aquilo, Lapsley, Lake Komo and Sun Drift who use their idyllic natural environment as a key component in their songwriting. “Space” is rooted in forest and fell as much as it is indebted to electronic manipulation and reverb plugins. It is a reflection of the physical realm and an attempt to make sense of the wider world whilst also being content in the knowledge that sometimes everything you need is right on your doorstep.
PEAKES play Servant Jazz Quarters on 2 November.
