Awww, she just slips under your skin, doesn’t she? London dance pop-confectionery Lucy Taylor, better known as Pawws, has treated us to a second indulgence from her upcoming Sugar EP, “Give You Love”.
A departure from the title track we featured a few weeks back, rather than drifting amongst “Sugar”‘s icier and more sinister-sounding climes, “Give You Love” is a sweetly propulsive affair. Intermittently backed by club-light synths and itchy hi-hat, Taylor’s aromatic breathy coo slides and tumbles over an undeniably addictive elastic throb, all the while cajoling us into her arms. Resistance is futile, as if you’d dare try anyway…Lucy, we’re all yours…
Sugar EP is out 16 June on our own Best Fit Recordings (pre-order here). Pawws will appear live at a number of upcoming festivals, including City Sound Project (4 May) and The Great Escape (8 May), along with a 12 May date at The Lexington, London.
