Pale Honey "Tease" debut album with brand new track
Gothenburg based duo Pale Honey tantalise in the run up to their debut album release with dazzling new track "Tease".
Seductive and sinister, "Tease" pairs soaring vocals with pounding rhythms, a dark driving bassline with searing refrains. Vocals glide with a mischievous ease, sleek and enticing amidst a metronomic soundscape.
"The music we created turned out a bit aggressive, and instead of pairing it with sugar coated lyrics we simply matched it with aggressive words", the duo said of the track. "The lyrics speak of an abusive relationship, where someone always makes sure to have the upper hand and full control. Whether it may be between two people or just not being able to take care of yourself properly with self-respect - for whatever reason it may be - it is written from the point of view of the abuser."
Pale Honey's self-titled debut is set for release via Bolero Recordings on 4 May.
