Glitch-laden, jittery, unsettling...."Vietnam" is another incredible offering from P2X
Following on from their stunning "Spreadaround" track, 10-piece Icelandic collective P2X are back with a brand new track.
Slightly less shadowy than the last time we featured them but no less of a conundrum, "Vietnam" steadfastly refuses us easy access to the world of P2X.
Beginning with looped, patched-up and reversed vocals (something which could become the collective's trademark move) before settling into a pitter-pattern rhythm of stuttering breakbeats, the track never allows itself or the listener a moment's peace. It's the constant shift of the vocal whch hooks you in, teasing the prospect of insight or revelation before dropping back into something garbled and out of reach. The result is something enticing and unknowable, and altogether brilliant.
