Drift away with escapists Only The Poets and the fireplace crackle of their debut "Ceasefire"
With the soaring indie-pop of "Ceasefire", mysterious newcomers Only The Poets release one of the year's most striking debuts.
Based in, around, and between Reading and London, Only The Poets are keeping their identity under wraps for the time being. Debut single "Ceasefire" is a new-age anthem that is sure to have fans taking out their phones and turning on the torch function at the band's live shows.
The emotion-packed ballad is the band's response to "the seemingly endless fire-fighting of everyday life in the city." They explain that "Ceasefire" is "a prayer for an escape... even if only temporary."
Despite it's minimalistic approach there's a nuanced depth to the song offering the kind of escape you can only get from putting your headphones in a turning up the volume.
