October Drift shine a light amidst their usual darkness on new track "Losing My Touch"
October Drift are sharing new song "Losing My Touch" from upcoming debut EP Stranger Days.
When the band exploded out of nowhere in 2015, it was difficult to imagine just how quickly things would take off for them. A handful of early tracks earned the band favour with national press, but a distinct lack of social media presence made sure those early cuts were shrouded in a sense of mystique, serving only to heighten the growing buzz.
Fast-forward a couple of months, and a calculated reveal meant the band have hit the ground running in 2016. Having already played the BBC 6 Music Festival earlier in the year, the announcement of their debut Stranger Days EP was bolstered by a string of tour dates, starting with a sold-out show at Manchester's St Philips Church.
Now, with the band looking ahead to the March release of the EP, October Drift are sharing lead single "Losing My Touch", a suitably swimmy track which, while not as dark as previous material, still manages to retain the unmistakeable pseudo-indifference that make October Drift the band they are.
"Losing My Touch" can be streamed in full below, and Stranger Days will be released on 25 March via Scruff of the Neck Records.
