Norway's "falsetto king" TRULS airs twinkling new single "Canyon"
Truls is making some exciting noises lately - his latest is called "Canyon" and it's hear just in time for the weekend.
We got to know the former Lukestar singer a bit better back in 2013 when he played the Ja Ja Ja club night and blew minds with "Out Of Yourself".
Sadly he'd seem to have vanished off the face of the planet, with 2014 being fairly silent from the Truls camp, especially in the English-speaking world. Then, earlier this year, he dropped the fantastic "Circles", a thumping blend of tropical R&B, epic military marches, and rhythmic scandi-pop.
Now he's back with another belter called "Canyon" - but this one's somewhat different. With twinkly acoustic guitars and superb harmonies, it's a more delicate, euphoric affair than his pumping tunes of before. Still electro-tinged and with some of pop's greatest falsetto tones, Truls remains loyal to his sound, but "Canyon" seems to see him succumb to the utter ecstasy of compatriots Team Me or Icelandic artist Sin Fang.
You can hear the track on NRK Radio now (roughly 15 minutes in).
Find out more about Truls on Facebook. If you're lucky enough to live in Norway, you can buy and/or stream the track as well.
