Mysterious trio North Downs reveal electrifying new track "Plastic Clouds"
North Downs emerged just shy of six months ago with their stunning debut "Nothin’", and now they’ve returned with another concoction of dark electronica and unfathomably infectious guitars to stir the murky waters.
"Plastic Clouds" is North Downs’ newest offering. The track reiterates the indulging mysteriousness that pulled us all in before, and the admirable ability to merge genres flawlessly.
North Downs add a little more light to this track, pursuing an upbeat tone that is electrifying right to the end. The layering of sounds adds a complexity that is unravelled so swiftly as the guitars take the lead, and the soft vocals are eerie again, adding a dark undertone that was first discovered on their debut.
Here we see North Downs pursuing their multiple-genre sound, and the fact they've still revealed next to nothing about themselves adds to the seductiveness of their sound.
Their journey is still just beginning, but "Plastic Clouds" showcases North Downs' impeccable ability to fuse genres without overbearing the track with fragmented complexity.
