Noisy put a brighter spin on tough times with the euphoric “Where’s Your Head?”
Not ones to pause, Worthing party bunch Noisy follow up their debut EP Press Space To Play with the anthemic three-minute stomp of new single “Where’s Your Head?”.
Those who have listened to Noisy are no doubt well aware that they are not a collective who intend to waste time. With a sound fuelled by a radioactive immediacy at its core, the band are not ones accustomed to resting on their laurels.
After spending the lockdown period holed up in their home studio grinding away on new music, it only seemed fitting that the Worthing-based trio pay homage to this fruitful chapter by documenting their seaside hometown in their new video. Shot on film, its grained aesthetic and bleached definition is in keeping with the retrospective 90s amalgamation to the sound of new single “Where’s Your Head?”.
Propelled by a punchy, hyperactive beat, ominously gurning bass and squirming guitar, the track strikes a thumping rhythm and moody tone that captures insular, head spinning turmoil. Offset by the precision rapping of vocalist Cody, “Where’s Your Head?” is an energised ode to propping up your pals when times get tough.
“‘Where’s Your Head?’ is a song about looking after your mates and trying to understand what they’re going through if they’re having a hard time,” explains Cody of their latest outing. “It’s about living for Friday night, but remembering to check in on your mates on Saturday morning.
“With the subject being quite close to home we wanted to shoot the video all around our hometown Worthing, going to all the places where we’ve met and hung out through the years of knowing each other.”
