Listen: Nite Fields - "Vacation"
You wanna get lost in a sludgy soup of shoegaze, in looping swathes of smeary guitars, whipcrack snares and slurring, apathetic vocals? Well, you've come to the right place.
Allow us to introduce Nite Fields, a band from Brisbane, Australia whose sound on their latest track "Vacation" is an achingly satisfying fog. Riddled with slacker distortion, overdriven drums and a vague phantom of pop peeking out from just-discernible familiar chord progressions, "Vacation" conjures melting landscapes and long days of lassitude – of a super-hot summer vacation.
This morsel is a downloadable, non-album single ahead of the release of their debut album, slated for release in early 2015 on LA label Felte.
