Nina Luna and Lex Low eclipse the California sun with moody new single "Goodbye Forever"
Nina Luna enlists fellow LA-based upstart Lex Low for your new favourite almost-breakup anthem "Goodbye Forever".
The follow up to her debut single "Blaze", "Goodbye Forever" is the first of two collaborative singles from Luna and Low as they draw you into a world of mystery, synths, and inevitable heartbreak. Luna's vocals are warm, but despite this the track's sombre mood remains at the forefront of your mind.
Luna explains how the track began life as a voice note: "I played him a voice memo I'd recorded on my phone, a few bars about a recent moment in a relationship ('I'm crying in your car / you've got you're head in your hands / I was never good at goodbye forever') and we ended up building the rest of the song around that."
Atmospheric, spellbinding, almost magical... there's something speical about the pairing of these minds and voices, especially when Luna is backed by Low's deeper, soulful tone. "Goodbye Forever" is a great pop song.
