Summer Heart is the project of David Alexander from Malmö, Sweden. Already gaining noticeable blog love from the strength of last month’s debut EP Please Stay, ‘Broken Hearts’ is the first taster from the forthcoming debut album Never Let Me Go (due later this month, apparently).
Ridiculously twee on the lyrics front – “I’m not alone, I’m just a dreamer” – ‘Broken Hearts’ floats along nicely on a bed of mellotron and synth pads with Alexander’s gentle vocal recalling Loney dear’s Emil Svanängen at his most earnest. Worth a listen.
