Nedelle Torrisi reveals spine-tingling track "The Perfect Timing"
Sufjan Stevens and Ariel Pink collaborator Nedelle Torrisi is sharing new single "The Perfect Timing" on Best Fit.
Torrisi fuses her vivid vocals with skeletal keys, creating something special that sends shivers up your spine from the first note. The track's a tender piano-led ballad drenched in heart-shattering melodies - it's stripped of all the bells and whistles, with Torrisi demonstrating her natural ability as a songwriter and artist.
"The Perfect Timing" appears on upcoming LP Advice From Paradise, which was written in the wake of the end of a "four-year friendship and band".
"I was frustrated at the thought of starting over again, because it also dissolved the band we were in," Torrisi says. "The silver lining was that I was alone, so didn't have to negotiate any musical decisions anymore.”
Advice From Paradise is released 1 August via Tin Angel. Backing vocals are provided by Julia Holter.
