Mysie concludes her year of successes with “Patterns”
Multi-talented South Londoner Mysie proves her talent is limitless with new single “Patterns”.
Mysie does not stop delivering. Focused on breaking down the confines of genre and rejecting the commonality of stereotypes, her limitless sound led her to become a worthy winner of the inaugural Rising Star Award at the Ivor Novello Awards 2020.
Serving as the follow up to previous release “Bones”, “Patterns” is an immersive track that sees Mysie's dexterous vocals tower across the synth-heavy soundscape.
Accompanied by a circumnavigating visual directed by Louis Mackay, “Patterns” is no exception to Mysie's success in elevating popular music by way of artistic vision. The heritage of her African culture underlays the captivating rhythm, while her distinctive creativity shines through.
“This song is about recognising the patterns within myself, and within my relationships,” explains Mysie. “It’s about me acknowledging them and searching for freedom from them, making a conscious decision to break these habits and instead strive for growth and progress.”
