MY announces her unsearchable self with the huge pop of "White Water"
A Swedish singer who knows her way around a massive chorus is hardly news these days, but MY looks like being one we can't ingore if her single "White Water" is anything to go by.
Recently on tour with McFly, which is as good a way as any to get your music heard by as many people as possible, MY divides her time between Stockholm and London when she's not writing gems like "White Water".
A song which appears to be about the realisation that we don't need to be in control of everything all of the time, it starts off with moody guitar before exploding into life with impressive vocal gymnastics, huge drums and glorious 80s synths. Emotionally wrought, dramatic and with hooks as big as you like, MY is definitely on the right track with this song.
Written with Johannes Andersson and Bhavik ”Knightstarr” Pattani (Nabiha, Natalie Bang Bang), "White Water" is out now via Relentless Records.
