Having recently signed to One Note Forever Records, Mutes is gearing up for success with the release of “M.P.D.G”, his spellbinding debut single.
Glistening into life with a soaring swell, “M.P.D.G”‘s ethereal texture proves both delicate and captivating. Whilst the vocals take a haunting back-seat, infectiously upbeat guitar riffs drive through a swirling mist of echoes and reverb. Twinkling percussion adds to the song’s surreal nature, crafting a sound as rich and optimistic as a sunrise at dawn.
Like few one-man-bands of the lo-fi ilk, Mutes makes music that’ll sail through your system until you’re powerless to resist.
Mutes’ self-titled EP is set for physical and digital release on 7 May via One Note Forever Records (pre-order here). “M.P.D.G” is available as a free download now.
