Morly's boundless charm returns on "Sleeping In My Own Bed"
Minneapolis-born artist Morly is back with the utterly gorgeous "Sleeping In My Own Bed" and details of a new EP.
The LA-based producer/multi-instrumentalist - real name Katy Morley - is following up her first two Cascine-released EPs with the Sleeping In My Own Bed short-player. It's produced with Christopher Stacey and was recorded with some pals in his Silver Lake studio.
Loose, jazz-peppered keys begin Morley's new chapter. As the seconds tick by her flawless vocals whisk you away into a world of classic pop and faint folk charm - it's a subtle bout of seriously strong songwriting that grips you by the heart.
"Lyrically I love how much it can say with such a simple thought," says Morley of the new single. "How it can twist to feel both lonely and empowered. It’s something I needed to hear."
