Enlisting the help of the platinum-selling Ella Eyre and internationally acclaimed producer Hank Solo (ALMA, Lil Peep), Molly Hammar creates your new favourite break-up anthem that will see you through to summer with new single “Alone”.

Molly Hammar is no stranger to the limelight. From a contestant on Swedish talent show Idol to signing with a major label during her teens, but later splitting to take back artistic autonomy, Hammar has shown strength in adversity by letting her music do the talking. This strong mindset resulted in 2018’s EP Sex, an honest, introspective and relatable collection of songs speaking Hammar’s truths to adoring fans.

Since then she has continued to carve her own way with last year's Big Narstie-featuring “No Place Like Me” and duetting with fellow Swede Kim Cesarion on her sensual single “Show Me”. This time around she has enlisted the likes of UK pop artist Ella Eyre and producer Hank Solo (who has worked with ALMA and Lil Peep) to create a break-up anthem that will see you through to the summer.

The seemingly effortless vocals of Hammar take charge on “Alone”, a lyrically loaded break-up song with a hook you will struggle not to sing along to. Bringing us pared-back guitars, tension building production and stellar vocals, “Alone” is the first track released from Hammar’s hotly anticipated second EP - dropping this autumn - and is just a taste of what is to come.

Discussing the new single, the twenty-four year old Stockholm native explains, “I think everyone struggles with loneliness. Sometimes you love it, sometimes you hate it. ‘Alone' is about someone trying to escape loneliness and hurting people along the way. They try and combat loneliness by continuously looking for happiness in new relationships rather than focusing on themselves as the priority. It’s a song you’re gonna want to sing to your ex.

"If this song can become a wake-up call for someone to deal with their emotional life better," Hammar continues. "Or if someone can find comfort in gaining some perspective on themselves, I have achieved my goal.”
