In many ways, it's quite hard to believe that Moir's delicate new offering was borne out of the extreme monotomy of a morning commute. In complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of London in morning, it sees Moir detach from her surroundings to find a place of serenity, calm and maybe even mindfulness.
Moir has a fascinating ability to express tenderness through her devastating delivery where she utilises a rich tapestry of intricate gospel harmonies to help heighten the heady atmosphere of soul-cleansing tranquility. The overall effect of the song is something akin to food for the soul, where she brushes away the darkness and beckons in the light.
In her own words, the song captures "the strength of people’s souls holding them and lifting them above and through the pain... I think your soul is the rawest and purest part of you, and who you are beneath the layers. If you stripped everything away, you’d find your soul. So this song is dedicated to that part of you and how it is what will ultimately save you."
