MIYNT blurs darkness and glamour on new single "The Strangest Game"
Stockholm artist MIYNT has revealed "The Strangest Game", the lead single from her upcoming debut Ep no. 1.
With swirling, silvery synths and fluid bass, MIYNT's latest offering oozes elegance. It's endlessly glamorous, mixing Lana Del Rey-isms with the darkness of "Wicked Game"; the trip-hop influence is clearly felt, with cinematic melodies and MIYNT's own breathy voice cavorting amongst punchy beats.
MIYNT says of the song: "'The Strangest Game' is a lovesong. It’s about the first phase of falling in love, when the person that you’re falling for is still a mystery and everything you do with this person feels very exciting."
The single is the first new music since last year's AA-side "Civil War"/"Nick Drake"
Ep no.1 is due out 16 September on B3SCI. The EP is produced with Daniel Nigro (Sky Ferreira, Carly Rae Jepsen).
