"Stock Image" is a vibrant, soaring snippet of euphoria from Miya Folick
On "Stock Image", Miya Folick ruminates over the feeling of being empty inside and searches for fulfilment.
"Stock Image" is the latest track to come from Miya Folick's upcoming debut album, and further sets her out as an excitingly refreshing new talent.
"Stock Image" is a passionate, soul-warming pop song that dares to strive for more, reaching and pushing for euphoria. The chorus sees Folick's vocals soar in the upper echelons of her vocal capacity whilst basslines pulsate and create an undeniable sense of magic, finding beauty in the hopelessness of her emotions.
Explaining the intense feeling longing for fulfilment that underpins the track, Folick says "'Stock Image' is the conversation you have with yourself when you're feeling lost and your colour has faded. When you're too focused on inhabiting a certain image and then suddenly you realise your insides are empty, that you're just a frame. I wrote it from a place of feeling shallow and grey and wanting to feel Full! Deep! Vibrant! I hope it makes you feel lush and coloured in.”
For a song that is ultimately about emptiness, it is nothing short of fulfilling in its delivery.
