German duo Milky Chance are expanding their electro-folk discography, returning today with new release “Cocoon”.
“Cocoon” is the pair’s first release since debut album Sadnecessary. The track comprises their signature hypnotic guitar lines, topped with vocalist Clemens Rehbein’s heartfelt cries to “let me bleed instead of you”. It’s accompanied by a dark and somewhat disturbing video, set in an environment that could be both prison or asylum.
On the lyrical inspiration behind “Cocoon”, the band simply state that “Life is fragile, so it's important to find a space to nurture it.”
“Cocoon” is out now. Listen on SoundCloud here.
