Mapei, Seinabo Sey, Silvana Imam, and more guest on Michel Dida's "Höru Mej Bae" remix [Premiere]
Swedish rapper Michel Dida has recruited some of the Scandinavian nation's finest R&B/pop/hip-hop talents for a remix of his latest single "Höru Mej Bae".
Mapei, Seinabo Sey, Silvana Imam, Cherrie, Sabina Ddumba, and Zara Larsson all feature on the Swedish-language mix, making it quite the star-studded affair. It shows a few of the artists in a totally different light - demonstrating their rap wares with gusto.
Roughly translated to "Can You Hear Me Bae", "Höru Mej Bae" is Dida's debut solo single, the first from his upcoming EP. The original has been garnering immense attention from radios in his home nation, and with the array of glittering names on the remix, you can expect even more interests to be piqued.
With skittering trap beats and a low-rumbling bass providing a sturdy backdrop for the glut of Swedes to unload, "Höru Mej Bae" is instantly addictive. This is a majestic riposte to those English-speaking countries that think they have a monopoly on modern hip-hop.
The "Höru Mej Bae" remix is out on the RMH Sound.
