The psychedelic space beats of “What If It Falls” heralds the return of Man Duo
A collaborative project made up of renowned producers Jaako Eino Kalevi and Sami Toroi, Man Duo is taking their sound to stratospheric heights in “What If It Falls”.
Jaako and Sami aka Man Duo are back with a new name and a new album. Building on the psych folk sound of their 2012 debut record Amateurs de Vérité, the duo have combined minimalist beats with dancehall rhythms, creating a body of work that is both challenging and enriching.
Their single “What If It Falls” is taken from Man Duo’s sophomore album “Orbit” and was recorded between Sam’s house in Helsinki and Jaako’s studio in Berlin. It is an aggressive track, staunchly European with nods to German techno and Scandi pop.

Speaking about their recording process and relationship, Sami said “When making music, we tend to get into a state where our communication goes beyond agreeing and disagreeing. We give each other constant feedback but it all happens with great understanding.”
