MAJIK disconnect from reality with "Paralysed", one half of their new double A-side single
London-based duo MAJIK share "Paralysed" from their new double A side single which also features the reworked version of previously released demo "Friends (under the influence)".
MAJIK are Marcus and Jamie. Marcus is described as "the artist", lead songwriter and vocalist, whereas Jamie is "the scientist"; cooking up the pair's musical potions in Logic. With Jamie's dark brooding production and Marcus' emotive vocal, "Paralysed" comes alive.
"The mind can be a dangerous place and everyone gets lost sometimes - this song captures the feeling when you are unable to connect with yourself and the one you hold close," the pair explain. This theme of disconnection runs through "Paralysed" which is about "the point when you can't explain where you are and how to get back and wish you could find life again. It's about finding the inner strength and standing up to it all despite the struggle."
Released alongide "Paralysed", the reworked version of "Friends" pulls in the opposite directions, "it counter balances this with the chemical influence on life and situations encountered, detailing the voices we hear internally and from trusted people within our circles that only see insights into a world filled with fragments of chaos and calm."
