machineheart slow things down and show darker side on "Shelter"
Let machineheart take you on a journey as they spin you a tale through their atmospheric, cinematic new single "Shelter".
machineheart have just finished up a run of shows with LANY, whose summer-ready sound seems to be the opposite of what the LA outfit are trying to create with "Shelter". Following a string of glitchy, sugar-rush pop hits such as last year's insatiable "Stonecold" and this year's triumphant "Speak In Tongues", "Shelter" shows another side to the band.
While the darker side of pop has always been something which the quartet have basked in, "Shelter" is more stripped back in letting the band's lead Stevie Scott subtly explore the intimacy and safety of a relationship. The track deals with the sense of security and intimacy that exists within relationships.
