M.I presents an oasis of slick and serene R&B on new single “Runaway”
London-based singer songwriter M.I soars sweetly with a voice that speaks a true reflection of love and loss on “Runaway”.
Raised in the east ends of London, M.I creates a sense of floating through problems on “Runaway” that showcases a velvety production slinking alongside her smooth vocal tone.
Having gained a following since being crowned winner of BBC One’s television series Pitch Battle as part of vocal group Leeds Contemporary Singers, M.I began pursuing her solo career last year performing with the likes of Kelis, Sampa The Great and Will Young.
“It’s about escapism,” says M.I. “Wanting to get away from all your troubles with someone you want to spend all your time with. Being giddy. You know when you really like someone and just don't know how to behave and you carry on like an idiot? Yeah that.”
